Program Governance

Large and complex programs require Governance methods and tools that achieve repeatability and predictability. Defining and implementing these processes contributes to program success. Effective requirements are critical to delivering application functionality. Establishing a Requirements Engineering lifecycle defines the discipline of elicitation, analysis, documentation, and management of requirements. Standards, methods, tools, and templates support consistency and accuracy. Solid requirements engineering provides an unambiguous and comprehensive definition of all features of requirements and clearly delineates roles and responsibilities for all project contributors. The institutionalization of standard practices across the organization will result in increased business customer satisfaction resulting from higher value solutions, decreased implementation costs due to identifying defects earlier in the process, and superior requirements quality leading to improved project health throughout the delivery life cycle.
