Software as a Service (SaaS) is not a new concept. The world’s rapidly increasing readiness to adopt SaaS in the last several years has fueled the rise of the SaaS economies and made massive customer wins by Salesforce, Workday, Box and others the rule rather than the exception.
Innovation is happening infinitely quicker than ever before. The pace at which customer and market value is being driven is now measured in weeks and months instead of years. These are exciting times that are requiring continued evolution of the IT workforce. While still in the relatively ‘early days’ of the transformation to a fully SaaS world, the need for new skills is real.
