We were all happy for our Advisory Board member Ursula Soritsch-Renier, when she accepted the position of CIO for Sulzer ($4B, 17,000 employees, 40 countries) and moved to Switzerland. We knew just how talented she was and expected great success for her.
Ursula was recently awarded the CIO Award 2014 as best IT Manager of Switzerland. The ceremony for was held during the Confare Swiss CIO and IT Manager Summit in Zurich. It is the first time that a woman has received this prestigious award. The reasons of the Jury? Soritsch-Renier created an enterprise IT in a brave transformation journey, fit for the requirements of globalisation.
Sulzer CEO Klaus Stahlmann stated that “Sulzer was transforming from a locally and de-centralized organization to a key market oriented and globally set-up organization when Ursula Soritsch-Renier joined us.
